Values built for your league size
Category values are z-scores measured against the players who would actually be rostered in your league, not a fixed top-150. Deep 16- to 30-team leagues get a board that means something at pick 300.
Scored against your categories, not a generic 9-cat
In The Deep Edge, values are re-averaged over the exact categories your league scores. A 9-cat league gets the standard board back; a punt-turnovers 8-cat league gets a genuinely re-ordered one.
Your best lineup, solved exactly
Power rankings, trades and waiver moves are all judged on your optimal starting lineup, found by an exact search rather than a greedy guess, and checked against an independent solver.

The team behind Fantasy Hoops Edge
Fantasy Hoops Edge is built and run by its founder, an Australian independent developer and fantasy basketball player based in the United Arab Emirates.
Growing up in Australia, the founder's passion for fantasy sports started with AFL SuperCoach and shifted over time to fantasy basketball. Dynasty came during the pandemic, when a post on X from bdub of Fantasy Basketball International announced a few new dynasty leagues. Those leagues snowballed into FBI's Discord community, now more than 5,000 members strong, and Fantasy Hoops Edge is proud to be FBI's strategic partner. That path led to Fantasy Hoops Edge, and then to The Deep Edge.
The founder builds the data pipeline, the value engine and the projection model, and works with the expert panels and communities on our partners page.

What do 9CatV, 8CatV and Minus1V mean?
9CatV is a player's average value across the nine standard categories, measured in standard deviations against the players rostered in a league of your size. 8CatV drops turnovers. Minus1V drops each player's weakest category, which shows who is elite if you punt their weak spot.
What is LeagueV?
LeagueV is the same per-category value averaged over only the categories your Fantrax league actually scores, so the board matches your scoring rather than a generic 9-cat format.
Does it support points leagues?
Yes. Player Value Rankings has a points-league view, and The Deep Edge supports roto, head-to-head categories and points leagues, in redraft, keeper and dynasty formats.
Which fantasy platforms can I connect?
Fantrax, for now. Most Fantrax leagues connect with just the league code.
Is my Fantrax Secret ID safe?
Your Fantrax Secret ID never reaches a Fantasy Hoops Edge server. It stays in your browser's session storage, goes straight from your browser to Fantrax, and is cleared when you close the tab.
Does the season pass renew automatically?
No. The Deep Edge season pass is a one-time US$35 payment for the current season. It isn't a subscription, and it isn't charged per league.
How often is the data updated?
NBA box scores are pulled daily during the season, and rosters and contracts are refreshed every week.
